The unmistakable Hummingbird™, now in a Deluxe cutaway version, has joined the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom lineup. Designed in partnership with the Gibson Custom acoustic guitar team in Bozeman, Montana, the Hummingbird Deluxe EC combines classic Hummingbird aesthetics with modern upgrades for stage and studio performance. Featuring solid rosewood back and sides, this guitar delivers the full, rich sound of the traditional Hummingbird, enhanced by rosewood’s tonal nuances for deeper bass and sparkling highs. The cutaway body provides easier access to the upper frets, ideal for lead guitarists and players exploring the full range of the fretboard. The thermally aged solid spruce top adds pre-aged tone and resonance, with traditional scalloped X-bracing made from quartersawn, solid spruce for superior sound projection.

The Hummingbird Deluxe EC also features a one-piece mahogany neck with a rounded C profile, glued in using a dovetail joint. The ebony fretboard is equipped with 20 standard frets and mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays. Premium 6-ply top binding, 4-ply back binding, and single-ply fretboard and headstock binding add a touch of elegance, complemented by gold hardware including Grover® Rotomatic® tuners on the Gibson “open book” headstock. The pickguard is an acrylic-celluloid sandwich featuring the iconic Hummingbird graphics etched in gold. Bone nut, compensated saddle, and bridge pins, paired with the Gibson ebony reverse belly bridge, complete the classic look and playability.

Equipped with an L.R. Baggs VTC Bronze pickup and preamp with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, the Hummingbird Deluxe EC is ready for stage and studio. It comes with the Epiphone Protector Ultralite case, a hybrid design inspired by historic Red Line hardshell cases, offering lightweight portability, soft plush lining, and compartments for accessories. Adjustable padded shoulder straps and a reinforced nylon handle ensure comfort when traveling.
