This Custom Shop 1956 Stratocaster is engineered for superior tone and effortless playability. The body is crafted from sorted Roasted Alder, providing a stable, lightweight foundation with enhanced sustain. The Nitro Lacquer finish is applied in a Closet Classic style, replicating a guitar that has been well-cared for over decades, showing only subtle aging. The neck is a standout feature, carved from a single piece of Roasted AAA Birdseye Maple. It features a substantial 10/56 "V" shape that tapers from .880" at the 1st fret to .980" at the 12th fret, offering a comfortable, period-correct grip. The fingerboard has a modern 9.50" radius and is fitted with 21 Narrow Tall (6105) frets, allowing for precise intonation and effortless string bending. Tonal duties are handled by a calibrated set of Hand-Wound Ancho Poblano Strat pickups. These pickups are "simmered" in secret sauce to provide a spicy, high-output tone with plenty of character. The middle pickup is Reverse-Wound/Reverse-Polarity (RWRP) to ensure hum-canceling performance in positions 2 and 4. The electronics are wired with a Strat Fat 50s hookup and a 5-way lever switch for maximum tonal versatility.
